AND SKILL TO GO THE
DISTANCE
We are closely tracking the rapidly evolving public health and community concerns related to the new coronavirus or COVID-19. Rest assured that we are taking all available steps to remain accessible to our clients as we continue to act in accordance with their best interests during this difficult time.
Please see below for answers to some frequently asked questions, and feel free to reach out to us any time at eric@stravitzlawfirm.com or 240-467-5741 for assistance with your legal matter.
Yes.
Via phone, email or text.
FaceTime, Zoom and Skype.
Yes.
Same as always: Call the office or email Eric.
Yes, but for civil cases like Eric’s client’s cases, only for filing papers.
Probably, but it depends on how far out in time it is currently scheduled.
Eric will seek a postponement for you.
Not likely. Again, this depends on how far out in time the event is currently scheduled, but the pandemic has created a fluid situation as courts are frequently changing their operating status. Some insurance company adjusters are working remotely, others are not. As you would expect, Eric cannot negotiate without having a negotiating partner who has authority to resolve his client’s case.
For the health of all concerned, Eric is trying to limit in-person contacts. So, to the extent possible, his clients have been using email or faxes to exchange documents. Alternatively, they have been dropping papers off at the office.
Again, please feel free to reach out to us with questions at any time, and see the following links below for CDC, state, and/or local updates regarding public health orders, court operations, and other information.
