I literally was driven over by truck while riding my bike. I went to the emergency room. Had numerous injuries etc... I reached out to a friend about obtaining a personal injury lawyer. I hired Eric after being injured in a rear-end collision in Prince George’s County. There wasn’t much visible property damage to my car from the collision. Because of this, Geico refused to offer any money for my medical bills, lost wages or the effect the collision had on my life. After rear-ending me, Geico’s insured fled the scene before giving me his contact information. I had to follow him to his house to get it. Eric was straight with me from the beginning. He told me that some Judges would not be able to get past the lack of visible property damage while others would understand how I could have been injured and would give me a fair trial. Despite the fact that he thought from our first meeting that my case would wind up going to trial, Eric agreed to take it. Eric did a great job preparing me for trial. This really hit home when the defense attorney cross-examined me. I felt like Eric had given me his playbook. Best Possible experience anyone could have with an attorney and his practice!!! I contacted Eric’s office in January of 2009. I had been searching for an attorney for over a month and after being rejected by other attorney's offices (usually only being allowed to speak to the legal assistants that answered the phone), I found Eric Stravitz on a Google search. I was ready to give up, but I decided to make this one last call, and I am so thankful that I did. I was going straight when a pick-up truck coming from the opposite direction abruptly turned left in front of me and took away my right-of-way. I did not have enough time to stop before hitting the truck. A police officer arrived at the scene of the collision after it happened. I was hurt in the wreck, but the insurance company for the truck driver later denied my claim (by saying it wasn't the truck driver's fault). Eric filed a lawsuit for me. He met with me for several hours to prepare me for trial. He made sure I knew what to expect and made me as comfortable as he could with testifying in court. At trial, he skillfully questioned the police officer and me, and effectively cross-examined the truck driver. I knew I had won when the Judge mirrored in her decision the points that Eric had argued in closing argument. I was so relieved! I highly recommend Eric Stravitz.
